Shakerwood Woolens

Welcome to the Shakerwood Woolens website!  We are glad you came to visit.

We are an on-line/show vending business only.  We do not have a brick and mortar shop.  To give us time to spend with our family, the Lord, the grandkids, the garden and each other, our office hours are Tuesday through Saturdays from 9:00 until 5:00 EST.  Thank you for understanding.

Because of the hand-dyeing process and the amount of storage space we have, we do not keep pieces larger than Fat 1/8ths and Fat /16ths in stock. Each order for our hand-dyed wool that is larger than a Fat 1/8th is dyed upon ordering.  Please allow 5 to 10 business days before your order is shipped.  If you have a wool "emergency", please let us know when you check out in the memo box.  We'll do our best to accommodate you but we cannot make any guarantees.  Thank you!

Our next show is The Quilting and Fiber Arts Marketplace

January 13th and 14th, 2017

9:00 until 5:00 on Friday

9:00 until 4:00 on Saturday

Dennis Wicker Civic Center

1801 Nash Street

Sanford, North Carolina

SHIPPING costs have changed as of January 1, 2016.  Shipping is still free with orders over $50.00.

Orders under $20.00 will be charged $4.00 for shipping.

Orders from $20.00 to $49.99 will be charged $7.00 for shipping.

If the actual charges are less than stated, you will receive the difference either by Paypal or credit card (depending on how you paid).

We now carry all 105 colors of this wonderful new thread

Shakerwood Woolens is excited to be carrying the Rustic Wool Moire threads both on the website and in our booth at shows. A coarser wool than usual, but the possibilities are amazing.  Use this thread for wool applique, embroidery, crazy stitches and even punch needle.

Haven't heard about the new 100% wool threads we are carrying?  Click here to see what it is all about!

Rustic Wool Moire Threads

Cathi has been doing a variety of handwork since her grandmother taught her needlepoint at 14 years old.  She made her first quilt in high school and hasn’t looked back.  Now after more than 30 years of quilting, she has come full circle by combining her love of quilting with her enjoyment of hand appliqué and admiration of beautiful hand-dyed wool.
